Benefit They're Real Liner review!!

I feel like this is one of the most talked about new products so far this year and have seen many youtubers/bloggers talking about it. I have also seen loads of comments from people with questions about the liner so I thought I would help clear up any queries anyone has about the product.

I have been using this eyeliner for about two months now and was lucky enough to try it before it came out on sale and can honestly say I'm in love with it! This liner seems to have the beauty community split and I really don't understand why.

I have oily eyelids and before trying this product I struggled to find a liner that would stay on! Also I hate eyeliners that take forever to dry or when you sneeze and it goes everywhere! However the They're Real Liner combats both of these issues.

First of all it's smudge and waterproof and I swear by the fact that once it's on it will stay there the whole day. Even with very oily eyelids I find that the product doesn't even print in the crease.

Next it has an acuflex rubber tip that means you can get really close to the lash line enabling you to get a really natural line. Plus the texture of the tip doesn't pull the lid and makes it easy to glide straight on.

As the formula is matte black gel this doubly allows you to get a natural line as I find some liquid liners finish shinny making the liner look really fake.

The product is a pen meaning it feels really natural drawing the line on and cuts time that it takes dipping brushes into gel pots. Also the packaging means that you don't waste any of the product and it also doesn't dry out!! This is a big must for me as I hate having to buy a new liner every couple of months because the product drys out.

Another big plus is the price, £18.50. To some this may seem expensive but I personally believe id rather spend more for an amazing product that will last a long time and is hypoallergenic.

Lastly it has just been confirmed that the line is the UKs number 1 best selling liner after being out for about a month.

After reading a some of the negative feedback I think a lot of it comes from people that don't know how to work the product. So here is a rundown of the steps and hopefully this will make things a bit easier for those struggling or on the fence about the liner.

When you buy the liner it comes with an orange stopper that's just to show it hasn't been opened and you can just throw that away.

Before your first use you have to twist the bottom quite a few times just to get the product started. Once you can see it coming out of the top you are ready to use it. After this initial 5-10 twists you will only have to twist the bottom once or twice when there's no more product in the rubber nib. The nib is where the product collects so you have to gently squeeze the base of the nib and once you see the product coming out of the top start drawing it on your lid.

This may sound complicated but literally after the first use you only have to follow a few steps which are:
Push the base of the nib to get the equivalent of a needles width of the product out. Then draw on the old and when you feel like you need more product repeat the step before.
When you find you can no longer get product out of the nib twist the bottom once or twice and repeat the first steps.

This may sound complicated but that's because I'm trying to explain it in detail rather than just showing you. Like any product it takes a few times playing around to get the knack of it but once you get used to it it cuts so much time off of your morning liner slot.

The only slightly negative side to the liner is it is so long lasting that it's hard to get off however a they're real remover has been released that dissolves the eyeliner and mascara off. You can use it on all eyemakeup and it's suitable for contact wearers. The remover means it only takes a couple of minutes to remove all eyemakeup however it you have a good oil based remover that will do the trick.

So there you go :) sorry if that sounded like a big rand of information but I found myself getting annoyed with people preaching negativity about the product when they clearly were using it wrong. It is an eyeliner that I recommend to everyone including older women that feel like black liner is too harsh on them. I have seen many buying the liner as a slim, natural line looks lovely on them and really brings out they're eyes. I would give this liner a 9/10 and this will be one I will be repurchasing :). If you have any questions about the liner that you feel I haven't addressed please feel free to leave a comment so that I can help answer.

DIY Natural beauty: Honey and sugar scrub

For the last couple of months I've been into all things natural and honey and sugar is a combo I just couldn't keep to myself. Also these two foods are great for the skin and here's why

Honey:
Is naturally antibacterial so is great for an acne treatment and prevention. Also it is full of antioxidants so it's great for slowing down the aging in your skin. Honey is a great complexion boost as it is highly moisturising and helps to create a glowly look. Lastly is is great at unclogging poors and clarifying them.

Sugar:
Is an amazing exfoliant as long at you don't press too hard. It helps unclog poors and get rid of dead skin.

To make the scrub is easy and all you have to do is to use about a table spoon of honey and a teaspoon of sugar mixed together. After using a normal face wash getting rid of the majority of makeup apply the scrub onto damps skin and gently rubbing in circular motions. Don't press too hard as the sugar can tear delicate skin, just let the sugar do it's work. Then after a minute or so of massaging into the skin let the scrub sit on you face as a mask for about 5 minutes. Lastly wash off, moisturise and enjoy you soft skin.

A subconscious part of my mind is trying to embarrass me

Ok ill admit it, I'm a compulsive liar. I don't mean as in i make up stories to get attention I'm talking about a subconscious part of my mind that makes me say things that aren't true without me realising. For example the other day i was having a conversation with a friend and it went a little something like this

Friend: Did you watch  ________ last night

Me: yeah

My mind: Why did i just say yes, i didn't watch that programme! I was supposed to say no now I'm going to look stupid admitting that i was supposed to say no. Quick say you didn't watch it!

Friend: It was good wasn't it

Me: I know literally thought it was so funny

Mind: SHIT WHY DID I JUST SAY THAT! I DIDN'T WATCH IT. Well it's too late to turn back now I'm just going to have to go with it.

Friend: so what did you think of the ending?

Mind: WHAT DO I SAY!! Ok calm, don't look panicked she can smell fear just say something quick!

Me: I ermmm just though it was a massive surprise, like i didn't see it coming

Friend: wait what? you didn't see it coming? I thought it was really obvious.

Mind: well you've done it now. She's going to think your an idiot, turn it around TURN IT AROUND. GO GO GO

Me: yeah well, I'm easily confused and it takes me longer than the average human being to understand plots

Friend: oh ok you should probably watch it again then

Me: yeah i think i will

Mind: phew. Now that was close.

Surround yourself with happiness ✨

By the title of this post you can tell what I'm about to talk about. For a while now I have stuck by the Moto surround yourself with happiness and have made a lot of changes in my life.

Firstly I've gradually changed who I hang around with. I noticed recently that the people I was seeing during my free time weren't making me happy and that although I had known them for years I wasn't the same girl I used to be. A lot has changed and I have grown up so now we just don't have the same things in common anymore. I decided that instead of making me happy like friends should do they were making me feel out of character so gradually I have distanced myself from them. In doing so I spend my time with friends that really get and understand me and overall I feel a lot happier. I would rather have few best friends that loads of fake friends.

Next is diet. I am lucky in the fact that I can eat junk food and not put on loads of weight however I've found that even though I didn't put on weight I still wasn't healthy. I have now switch to a diet where I am eating a balance of foods and cutting out most carbs. This doesn't mean I don't eat bread or potatoes just that I don't eat as many. For breakfast I have either wheatabix or cooked eggs. A favourite of mine has been omelette with sliced tomatoes, I swear it's so good and makes you feel ready for the day. For lunch I have either a salad, yogurt or one slice of whole meal bread with healthy fillers. Dinner is a salad with some sort of meat and then I drink water, juice (my favourite atm is pineapple juice) or a smoothie. If I get hungry in between meals I will eat some fruit. For me I'm not trying to lose weight just be healthier. Id also like to say that yes some foods have natural fats but that doesn't mean they don't have other good things inside them for your body, so don't just instantly cut them out of your diet.

Next is my free time. I am currently doing my a levels and am about to leave college altogether. I used to be the person that no matter how much work I have I would leave it to the last minute however I've really been trying to turn this around. I've been trying to use my free time wisely getting myself ready for when I leave college and making sure I do as well as possible in my exams. This has made me feel a lot happier about leaving education and makes the world seem less scarier. I know how daunting it is to know that your about to be an adult in the working world but I honestly can't stress enough that you can't pretend it's not going to happen. It will so make the most of your time now to prepare.

Hope you like this quick post. Just feeling very happy atm and wanted to help spread some light on the world.

London bound ✨

So today my dad and I decided to go to London for the day. I have decide that some time in the near future after my exams I want to move to London so for a while I've been going on day trips to get use to the underground and to learn my way around. Today we went to Camden market first. I've been a few times before but I swear everytime I go it gets even bigger! There's literally stalls for everything and there's such nice vintagey looking clothing that's cheap as anything, it's hard not to fall in love with the place. Like everything in London you have to be careful of pick pocketers and there's always a swarm of tourists but I've never had that much of a problem.
Then we hopped on the tube and went to leister square where they have movie premiers. Not much was going on there but it was a 5 min walk to Trafalgar Square where there was music and festivities going on for Easter. It was rammed with tourists but it's the holidays so it's not a surprise.
Lastly we went to covent garden which is a place I love because this is where loads if the expensive shops are. I love looking round and even though I didn't buy anything a girl can dream.

Oxford street haul! ✨

Whilst up in London last weekend I may have done some cheeky shopping. I love Oxford  street and even though it was rammed with tourists I couldn't resist having a look round. The only problem was because there is literally ever shop known to man on that street I had to stop myself from going crazy. I wish there was a day in the year when everything from every shop was like 5p so that you could buy your dream wardrobe. Moving on here's what I bought:

First I bought this sports tee from primark just because I need more casual tops that I can tuck into jeans ext. I love these prints and for only £3 they were a bargain.

I then got this collared sheer floral shirt again from primark. I also thought this would be great to tuck into jeans and skirts and thought the patterns and colours were really cute. This was only £10!

From H&M I bought these croquet shorts that I thought were really cute and could be dressed up or down. These from memory were around the £10-15 mark but I can't remember because I got discount on them.

I then went into forever 21 and bought these floral leggings. Now listen to this I have never been into a forever 21 before! This is because where I live the nearest one is Oxford street which is about an hour away from where I live which is incredibly annoying! So before going in I never really understood the hype but now I understand. I'm in love with these leggings and for only £8 I couldn't leave them behind. So if anyone from forever 21 is reading this please get a store I'm camberley I would be very great full!

Next I bought this cropped high neck black top that has a floral croquet on it. Again it's from forever 21 and I think it was about £12. Also it came in White and mint green but I thought the black would be easier to wear.

Last but not least from forever 21 I got this baseball dress. I thought this would be a great casual dress and it's super soft so I know it's going to be comfy. Again I think it was around the £12 mark.

If you've never been to Oxford street in London and like me are shopping crazy you have to go otherwise your missing out! (Haha I sound like I'm sponsored by London or something)

Beauty things I suck at tag! ✨

Now no matter what any girl tells you she is not perfect at everything beauty wise. If your like me then there are a few things that I find so hard to do or just can't get the right technique. So here I am today to share what I suck at with you.

1. Eyeliner

Ok I'm not that bad and usually it goes how I planned but do you ever just get that one day where your eyeliner just won't go right! Either it's I can't get it to match the other eye or I smudge it but regularly I have to spend a couple of minutes with a makeup wipe having to sort out the mess.

2. Curling my hair

Does anyone else get it where one side of your hair perfectly curls and then the other side is really limp. I swear I'm doing the same technique on both sides but it's like my hair hates me or something.

3. Shaping my eyebrows

I don't know what it is but I find it so hard to get both eyebrows looking good, not looking too bushy but not too thin either.

4. Fake tan

No matter what I do somewhere on my body it will go streaky.

So there you go my 4 beauty things that I suck at. What do you suck at?

My new obsession

So I've been slightly MIA recently and I was going to apologise but then I realised what I have been obsessed over is amazing and I can't bring myself to apologise for it. So this brilliant discovery is Netflix. Yes I know I'm a bit late on the band wagon and I've been putting off getting it for ages until I just thought hey the first months free I may as well see what all the fuss is about. To be specific what I've spent all my free time doing is watching vampire diaries. Now I live in England and I'm pretty sure we don't get the series on our tv and I'm thinking why the hell not because it's amazing!

At first I wasn't sure I was going to like it because I just assumed it would be like twilight and seeing that it's about 4 series long I thought it would be too much loveydoveyness for me. As per usual I was completely wrong, the main story line does follow a love triangle however add in a lot of deaths and blood and it makes an addicting show.

The only problem I know I'm going to have with Netflix it that there is so much to watch in so little time and with exams in a couple of months it's not a good combination. So if your like me an you have important things going on in a few months you might have to limit yourself to only watching one episode a day.

Halo braid

I absolutely love this trend and is one I've been rocking even before it spread like wildfire on the catwalk. I think this hairstyle is perfect for those days where you hair is lacking that ompf and you don't have time to straighten or curl. This look is something I think is stylish yet looks effortless especially if you do it messy which is how I do mine.

What creative people do differently

I was recently reading an article the other day that came up on my twitter news feed and it really inspired me and made me feel good about myself so I thought if share it with fellow bloggers.

This article talks about what creative people do differently to other people. Whether that be artists, writers, dancers ext it highlights things we do differently without realising. Whilst reading the article it made me realise that the majority of the things they list is what I do and assumed everyone else did as well.

If you consider yourself as a creative person which I'm sure you are if your reading this then I think you'd find the article as interesting as I do.

Whilst growing up I new I wasn't as academic as most of my friends and with a unusual learning disorder I always felt like I was looked down upon in society. I managed to get through school with average grades in subjects like English an maths however always excelling in drama, art and PE. Even though my parents encouraged me that this was a good thing I always felt like other teachers and students looked down upon us creative students and classed us a 'dumb'.

However as I've grown up I have realised many people would kill to have the talents us creative people have and to see the world the way we do.

Reading this article really reminded me of this and encouraged me to think like this again. Some of the most successful people in the world failed at school however think outside the box and have  achieved way more than some of their A* counterparts. Don't get me wrong I would still love to be academic and not have to put in extra hours at college just to get an average grade but now I have learnt that I should be great full of my artistic abilities.

Hope this has given you some inspiration for you weekend

The cutest pair of shoes ever!

I recently went on a mad one online shopping and came across these shoes on Office.com. I remembered that blogger and youtuber Zoella showed them in one of her videos a while back and couldn't resist not having a pair. This same style came in burgundy and a matte black but I decided I liked the patent school shoe look of these ones so decided to go for shinny black. I just thought these would look adorable with frilly socks (like in the photo) and for around £40 I just had to have them.

I have to admit there were a bit uncomfortable when I first wore them however because their patient I new they would take time to break in. I have worn them a few times now and their really comfy and have fast become my favourite shoes. I have also had a lot of compliments on them as well so I know the school shoe resemblance isn't enough to put other people off.

Boohoo haul

The other day i just so happened to be looking on the boohoo website and couldn't help myself so had to buy something. I love boohoo so much because it really is trends on small prices and when your a student like me this is a must!

Also i seem to have gotten into a black theme because it wasn't until the delivery arrived that i realised everything i'd bought is a bit gothic but oh well black goes with everything!

Lucy loose knit batwing cardigan £12
Leanne lace insert t-shirt dress £15

Lace on the shoulders of the dress

Suzie strappy skater dress £8
I thought this dress was a great all year round dress as it can be worn with tights or bare legged and can be dressed up or down. I definitely think this is a staple that should be in every girls wardrobe.

Barbados

Recently i was fortunate enough to go on holiday to the Caribbean island of Barbados and had an amazing time. I was so sad to leave and was definitely one of the most beautiful countries i have ever been to.

We stayed on the east side of the island about five minutes away from sandy lane where Rihanna and Simon Cowell stay. The hotel we stayed in had such a lovely relaxing atmosphere and has it's own beach so you had the option of the pool and sea. I can honestly say after going on holiday when it's home time I usually feel ready to leave however here i just wanted to stay for a month and the thought of the british rain was so depressing.

The weather was amazing as well for a number of reasons. Every day the temperature was in the thirties however there were a few clouds which was nice to break up the soaring heat. I also burn quite easily so it was quite nice to have a break every now and then. One day it did rain for about ten minute but the beauty of Barbados is after the rain has gone it's boiling again and the only reminder of it is a rainbow.

Whilst we were there we went on a few trip around the island. The first trip we did was a day trip to a sugar plantation followed by a trip to the nature park and botanic gardens. This day was great as it was incredible to see into the history of the island and what it has to offer. The next trip we went on was a boat trip where you could snorkel and see the sea turtles. The day was brilliant and really made you feel a  million miles away from the UK.

Here are some photos i took:

Barbados is such a beautiful island and is one i can definitely see myself returning to again and again. It was such a lovely experience and one i am so grateful for.

My sneaky purchases

I got these flats from primark and have fallen in love with them, not just because they were £8 but because they are so cute

I tried them on with tights just to show the fit on my feet but please excuse the poor lighting that is making my black tights look blue

I then bought this £14.99 cropped marl jumper from H&M. I wore this to college today and got many compliments on it and it is also extremely warm.

The fabrics hard to describe so i thought i would take a close up of it but i believe it would be described as marl as it has flecks of black in it.

I have been eyeing this maxi skirt up for ages now and finally caved in. This is also £14.99 from H&M and is floral print with a cut up one side. I justified this buy because I'm going on holiday to Barbados on Sunday and thought this would look great at night however this will definitely make an appearance in England once the weather gets better.

Cropped jumper and skirt paired together

Next i went into Newlook which is a shop i don't go into very often but was pleasantly surprised when i found this coral maxi skirt in sale. The photo make the skirt look vibrant pink but i promise you it's coral. As i said before I'm going on holiday in a couple of days so when i saw this skirt in sale reduced from £15 to £4 i just had to get it. I think it will be perfect as a holiday evening skirt. The only problem i have found with it is the material is a cotton that will crease easily however for the reduced price it didn't put me off.

Thanks for reading hope you have a good weekend!
