Benefit They're Real Liner review!!

I feel like this is one of the most talked about new products so far this year and have seen many youtubers/bloggers talking about it. I have also seen loads of comments from people with questions about the liner so I thought I would help clear up any queries anyone has about the product.

I have been using this eyeliner for about two months now and was lucky enough to try it before it came out on sale and can honestly say I'm in love with it! This liner seems to have the beauty community split and I really don't understand why.

I have oily eyelids and before trying this product I struggled to find a liner that would stay on! Also I hate eyeliners that take forever to dry or when you sneeze and it goes everywhere! However the They're Real Liner combats both of these issues.

First of all it's smudge and waterproof and I swear by the fact that once it's on it will stay there the whole day. Even with very oily eyelids I find that the product doesn't even print in the crease.

Next it has an acuflex rubber tip that means you can get really close to the lash line enabling you to get a really natural line. Plus the texture of the tip doesn't pull the lid and makes it easy to glide straight on.

As the formula is matte black gel this doubly allows you to get a natural line as I find some liquid liners finish shinny making the liner look really fake.

The product is a pen meaning it feels really natural drawing the line on and cuts time that it takes dipping brushes into gel pots. Also the packaging means that you don't waste any of the product and it also doesn't dry out!! This is a big must for me as I hate having to buy a new liner every couple of months because the product drys out.

Another big plus is the price, £18.50. To some this may seem expensive but I personally believe id rather spend more for an amazing product that will last a long time and is hypoallergenic.

Lastly it has just been confirmed that the line is the UKs number 1 best selling liner after being out for about a month.

After reading a some of the negative feedback I think a lot of it comes from people that don't know how to work the product. So here is a rundown of the steps and hopefully this will make things a bit easier for those struggling or on the fence about the liner.

When you buy the liner it comes with an orange stopper that's just to show it hasn't been opened and you can just throw that away.

Before your first use you have to twist the bottom quite a few times just to get the product started. Once you can see it coming out of the top you are ready to use it. After this initial 5-10 twists you will only have to twist the bottom once or twice when there's no more product in the rubber nib. The nib is where the product collects so you have to gently squeeze the base of the nib and once you see the product coming out of the top start drawing it on your lid.

This may sound complicated but literally after the first use you only have to follow a few steps which are:
Push the base of the nib to get the equivalent of a needles width of the product out. Then draw on the old and when you feel like you need more product repeat the step before.
When you find you can no longer get product out of the nib twist the bottom once or twice and repeat the first steps.

This may sound complicated but that's because I'm trying to explain it in detail rather than just showing you. Like any product it takes a few times playing around to get the knack of it but once you get used to it it cuts so much time off of your morning liner slot.

The only slightly negative side to the liner is it is so long lasting that it's hard to get off however a they're real remover has been released that dissolves the eyeliner and mascara off. You can use it on all eyemakeup and it's suitable for contact wearers. The remover means it only takes a couple of minutes to remove all eyemakeup however it you have a good oil based remover that will do the trick.

So there you go :) sorry if that sounded like a big rand of information but I found myself getting annoyed with people preaching negativity about the product when they clearly were using it wrong. It is an eyeliner that I recommend to everyone including older women that feel like black liner is too harsh on them. I have seen many buying the liner as a slim, natural line looks lovely on them and really brings out they're eyes. I would give this liner a 9/10 and this will be one I will be repurchasing :). If you have any questions about the liner that you feel I haven't addressed please feel free to leave a comment so that I can help answer.

DIY Natural beauty: Honey and sugar scrub

For the last couple of months I've been into all things natural and honey and sugar is a combo I just couldn't keep to myself. Also these two foods are great for the skin and here's why

Honey:
Is naturally antibacterial so is great for an acne treatment and prevention. Also it is full of antioxidants so it's great for slowing down the aging in your skin. Honey is a great complexion boost as it is highly moisturising and helps to create a glowly look. Lastly is is great at unclogging poors and clarifying them.

Sugar:
Is an amazing exfoliant as long at you don't press too hard. It helps unclog poors and get rid of dead skin.

To make the scrub is easy and all you have to do is to use about a table spoon of honey and a teaspoon of sugar mixed together. After using a normal face wash getting rid of the majority of makeup apply the scrub onto damps skin and gently rubbing in circular motions. Don't press too hard as the sugar can tear delicate skin, just let the sugar do it's work. Then after a minute or so of massaging into the skin let the scrub sit on you face as a mask for about 5 minutes. Lastly wash off, moisturise and enjoy you soft skin.

A subconscious part of my mind is trying to embarrass me

Ok ill admit it, I'm a compulsive liar. I don't mean as in i make up stories to get attention I'm talking about a subconscious part of my mind that makes me say things that aren't true without me realising. For example the other day i was having a conversation with a friend and it went a little something like this

Friend: Did you watch  ________ last night

Me: yeah

My mind: Why did i just say yes, i didn't watch that programme! I was supposed to say no now I'm going to look stupid admitting that i was supposed to say no. Quick say you didn't watch it!

Friend: It was good wasn't it

Me: I know literally thought it was so funny

Mind: SHIT WHY DID I JUST SAY THAT! I DIDN'T WATCH IT. Well it's too late to turn back now I'm just going to have to go with it.

Friend: so what did you think of the ending?

Mind: WHAT DO I SAY!! Ok calm, don't look panicked she can smell fear just say something quick!

Me: I ermmm just though it was a massive surprise, like i didn't see it coming

Friend: wait what? you didn't see it coming? I thought it was really obvious.

Mind: well you've done it now. She's going to think your an idiot, turn it around TURN IT AROUND. GO GO GO

Me: yeah well, I'm easily confused and it takes me longer than the average human being to understand plots

Friend: oh ok you should probably watch it again then

Me: yeah i think i will

Mind: phew. Now that was close.

Surround yourself with happiness ✨

By the title of this post you can tell what I'm about to talk about. For a while now I have stuck by the Moto surround yourself with happiness and have made a lot of changes in my life.

Firstly I've gradually changed who I hang around with. I noticed recently that the people I was seeing during my free time weren't making me happy and that although I had known them for years I wasn't the same girl I used to be. A lot has changed and I have grown up so now we just don't have the same things in common anymore. I decided that instead of making me happy like friends should do they were making me feel out of character so gradually I have distanced myself from them. In doing so I spend my time with friends that really get and understand me and overall I feel a lot happier. I would rather have few best friends that loads of fake friends.

Next is diet. I am lucky in the fact that I can eat junk food and not put on loads of weight however I've found that even though I didn't put on weight I still wasn't healthy. I have now switch to a diet where I am eating a balance of foods and cutting out most carbs. This doesn't mean I don't eat bread or potatoes just that I don't eat as many. For breakfast I have either wheatabix or cooked eggs. A favourite of mine has been omelette with sliced tomatoes, I swear it's so good and makes you feel ready for the day. For lunch I have either a salad, yogurt or one slice of whole meal bread with healthy fillers. Dinner is a salad with some sort of meat and then I drink water, juice (my favourite atm is pineapple juice) or a smoothie. If I get hungry in between meals I will eat some fruit. For me I'm not trying to lose weight just be healthier. Id also like to say that yes some foods have natural fats but that doesn't mean they don't have other good things inside them for your body, so don't just instantly cut them out of your diet.

Next is my free time. I am currently doing my a levels and am about to leave college altogether. I used to be the person that no matter how much work I have I would leave it to the last minute however I've really been trying to turn this around. I've been trying to use my free time wisely getting myself ready for when I leave college and making sure I do as well as possible in my exams. This has made me feel a lot happier about leaving education and makes the world seem less scarier. I know how daunting it is to know that your about to be an adult in the working world but I honestly can't stress enough that you can't pretend it's not going to happen. It will so make the most of your time now to prepare.

Hope you like this quick post. Just feeling very happy atm and wanted to help spread some light on the world.
