Benefit They're Real Liner review!!

I feel like this is one of the most talked about new products so far this year and have seen many youtubers/bloggers talking about it. I have also seen loads of comments from people with questions about the liner so I thought I would help clear up any queries anyone has about the product.

I have been using this eyeliner for about two months now and was lucky enough to try it before it came out on sale and can honestly say I'm in love with it! This liner seems to have the beauty community split and I really don't understand why.

I have oily eyelids and before trying this product I struggled to find a liner that would stay on! Also I hate eyeliners that take forever to dry or when you sneeze and it goes everywhere! However the They're Real Liner combats both of these issues.

First of all it's smudge and waterproof and I swear by the fact that once it's on it will stay there the whole day. Even with very oily eyelids I find that the product doesn't even print in the crease.

Next it has an acuflex rubber tip that means you can get really close to the lash line enabling you to get a really natural line. Plus the texture of the tip doesn't pull the lid and makes it easy to glide straight on.

As the formula is matte black gel this doubly allows you to get a natural line as I find some liquid liners finish shinny making the liner look really fake.

The product is a pen meaning it feels really natural drawing the line on and cuts time that it takes dipping brushes into gel pots. Also the packaging means that you don't waste any of the product and it also doesn't dry out!! This is a big must for me as I hate having to buy a new liner every couple of months because the product drys out.

Another big plus is the price, £18.50. To some this may seem expensive but I personally believe id rather spend more for an amazing product that will last a long time and is hypoallergenic.

Lastly it has just been confirmed that the line is the UKs number 1 best selling liner after being out for about a month.

After reading a some of the negative feedback I think a lot of it comes from people that don't know how to work the product. So here is a rundown of the steps and hopefully this will make things a bit easier for those struggling or on the fence about the liner.

When you buy the liner it comes with an orange stopper that's just to show it hasn't been opened and you can just throw that away.

Before your first use you have to twist the bottom quite a few times just to get the product started. Once you can see it coming out of the top you are ready to use it. After this initial 5-10 twists you will only have to twist the bottom once or twice when there's no more product in the rubber nib. The nib is where the product collects so you have to gently squeeze the base of the nib and once you see the product coming out of the top start drawing it on your lid.

This may sound complicated but literally after the first use you only have to follow a few steps which are:
Push the base of the nib to get the equivalent of a needles width of the product out. Then draw on the old and when you feel like you need more product repeat the step before.
When you find you can no longer get product out of the nib twist the bottom once or twice and repeat the first steps.

This may sound complicated but that's because I'm trying to explain it in detail rather than just showing you. Like any product it takes a few times playing around to get the knack of it but once you get used to it it cuts so much time off of your morning liner slot.

The only slightly negative side to the liner is it is so long lasting that it's hard to get off however a they're real remover has been released that dissolves the eyeliner and mascara off. You can use it on all eyemakeup and it's suitable for contact wearers. The remover means it only takes a couple of minutes to remove all eyemakeup however it you have a good oil based remover that will do the trick.

So there you go :) sorry if that sounded like a big rand of information but I found myself getting annoyed with people preaching negativity about the product when they clearly were using it wrong. It is an eyeliner that I recommend to everyone including older women that feel like black liner is too harsh on them. I have seen many buying the liner as a slim, natural line looks lovely on them and really brings out they're eyes. I would give this liner a 9/10 and this will be one I will be repurchasing :). If you have any questions about the liner that you feel I haven't addressed please feel free to leave a comment so that I can help answer.
